There is no way around selfcare.

Being a good person.

Helping others.

Avoiding conflict.

Avoiding people that make you feel shitty.

All this won't get you anywhere if you don't know how to stand up for yourself

nobody can and should do it for you.

Let's be honest. We secretly want to stand up for ourselves BUT something is holding us back .

Why is this ?

Let's have a closer look at it

with love

Aurora.

Hello, hello, and welcome to the Borealis

Unknown:

experience. I'm your host Aurora.

Unknown:

And I'm very happy to be spending some time with you

Unknown:

today.

Unknown:

First off, I want to apologize for not posting my episode as

Unknown:

usual on Thursday.

Unknown:

I had kind of an emergency yesterday

Unknown:

and was not able to show up and tense back pain

Unknown:

to the point that I was not able to breathe properly anymore,

Unknown:

held me back.

Unknown:

And

Unknown:

I'm slowly but surely healing and taking really good care of

Unknown:

myself.

Unknown:

And I thought Yeah, first thing I want to do, once I have a

Unknown:

little more power, again, is to be there for you, and share with

Unknown:

you what I'm learning because I know, in sharing this, I might

Unknown:

am might be able to help you.

Unknown:

And

Unknown:

I can show up as authentically as I want. And that's going to

Unknown:

help me heal as well.

Unknown:

I think I was living under the impression that the more good I

Unknown:

was doing in the world,

Unknown:

the less likely

Unknown:

I will be hurt or disappointed or attacked by people.

Unknown:

And for the same reason. So thinking that if I do good in

Unknown:

the work world,

Unknown:

I also don't have to, yeah, really stand up for myself.

Unknown:

I can avoid

Unknown:

weird,

Unknown:

uncomfortable situations because I just want goodness in my life.

Unknown:

But in doing so I totally neglected myself, I was not

Unknown:

there for myself, I just kept putting work and content out

Unknown:

there thinking that I'm kind of paying into my health account.

Unknown:

But I was not. I was Yeah, doing an out of balance.

Unknown:

And now I'm paying the price.

Unknown:

Life will force you on to your knees and make you learn these

Unknown:

lessons.

Unknown:

Take care of yourself first. Make yourself a priority. And

Unknown:

you're not going to be selfish, you're going to be authentic,

Unknown:

you're going to be able to speak your truth and make people see

Unknown:

you understand you. Setting a boundary with someone doesn't

Unknown:

mean that you want to shut them out of your life. It means that

Unknown:

you give them a manual on how to treat you.

Unknown:

And I share this with people I preach this I beg people to take

Unknown:

care of this and focus on this

Unknown:

yet at the same time. I don't do it for myself.

Unknown:

And that's really concerning.

Unknown:

In German we say the dentist has the most crooked and ugly teeth

Unknown:

right they see what they can fix and do and the other and how to

Unknown:

serve others but they kind of neglect themselves.

Unknown:

Of course not every dentist has crooked teeth but I think you

Unknown:

know what I'm trying to say here

Unknown:

so yeah, I'm slowly but

Unknown:

surely you're recovering here

Unknown:

my

Unknown:

house practice you know my little rituals that I engaged

Unknown:

in. I also did in a in a resentful way kind of Yeah, I

Unknown:

have to go for this walk now I have to take care of my physical

Unknown:

health.

Unknown:

And I kind of abused myself into these habits to be healthy.

Unknown:

What the fuck was I thinking that that's going to keep me

Unknown:

healthy? No on a mental emotional level. I'm abusing

Unknown:

myself and my body may be to

Unknown:

to some degree.

Unknown:

So self care is really a tricky

Unknown:

Saying,

Unknown:

a thing that we have to learn to integrate in life and to not

Unknown:

practice it in an abusive way.

Unknown:

So yeah, I'm learning these very valuable lessons right now.

Unknown:

And

Unknown:

I'm just, yeah, very bad pain and my back is just

Unknown:

forcing me onto my knees and forcing me to look at where I

Unknown:

was not assertive, where I didn't speak up for myself.

Unknown:

And I know the situations now. And I know that in those

Unknown:

situations, I had physical pain. Mentally, I just had these sorts

Unknown:

of I need to escape, I need to run away, I need to make the

Unknown:

stop.

Unknown:

But acts externally, I didn't act, I didn't do anything, I

Unknown:

didn't do anything to make the shitty situation stop. So like a

Unknown:

sponge, I kept inhaling

Unknown:

that toxic energy. And now it accumulated inside of me. And

Unknown:

I'm dealing with that pain. And I think that's what I'm supposed

Unknown:

to learn. I'm supposed to learn to stand up for myself to not

Unknown:

expect my partner or anybody else around me to do it for me,

Unknown:

I have to do it for myself. I have to feel the self worth.

Unknown:

And then stand up for myself.

Unknown:

And know that it is going to improve my relationships and not

Unknown:

destroy them, because I think that's what I'm scared.

Unknown:

I'm scared that if I show up authentically, if I start

Unknown:

setting boundaries, that I'm going to piss people off that I

Unknown:

have to deal with their resentment and pain.

Unknown:

But if I learned to communicate my boundaries in a gentle way,

Unknown:

I can go to bed at night peacefully.

Unknown:

And know that any weird reaction is like from the other side from

Unknown:

the other party is not going to say anything about me, but about

Unknown:

them.

Unknown:

So

Unknown:

sometimes a coach needs a coach.

Unknown:

If you are connected with me on Facebook, he probably saw that

Unknown:

little video of mine. If we haven't connected there yet,

Unknown:

please join me there. I would love to connect with you on a

Unknown:

deeper level. I love to know where my listeners are from and

Unknown:

if ever you have a topic request, don't hold back and you

Unknown:

just message me there. Aurora Eggert coaching or just Aurora

Unknown:

Eggert. And you're more than welcome to message me, I usually

Unknown:

get back to people.

Unknown:

Once they let me know that they listen to my podcast and they

Unknown:

want to comment or share something about their lives.

Unknown:

Also,

Unknown:

I'm being very vulnerable with you.

Unknown:

It is a

Unknown:

it is

Unknown:

how do you say

Unknown:

I have to overcome resistance for sure. Before I'm being that

Unknown:

vulnerable because I thought, I'm a life coach. Now. I can't

Unknown:

feel that way. I have to be strong, I have to be a leader.

Unknown:

But I figured that I want to create connection with you. I

Unknown:

want you to trust me and to know that I'm not hovering somewhere

Unknown:

above you. I'm right there with you.

Unknown:

And I'm sure I can learn tons of things from you.

Unknown:

And that's what I'm learning right now with my coaching

Unknown:

clients is that yeah, they learn from me, I provide them all the

Unknown:

tools they need and I serve them

Unknown:

to the best of my abilities, but I also learned so much about

Unknown:

life and about myself and it's just a beautiful journey to be

Unknown:

on.

Unknown:

So if you feel like you're ready for a coaching session, don't

Unknown:

hold back for 60 minutes are for free. And it's it's incredible

Unknown:

what we can

Unknown:

unlock when it comes to a potential

Unknown:

It is incredible how we can experience a little shift of

Unknown:

perspective within one session. And it can change our lives. And

Unknown:

as

Unknown:

Yeah, I feel very blessed and grateful to be working as a

Unknown:

coach, it gives me so much and it excites me to see other

Unknown:

people grow and flourish.

Unknown:

Alright, if you haven't subscribed yet, subscribe to my

Unknown:

Unknown:

Apple podcast, please don't hold back because that's the biggest

Unknown:

way

Unknown:

to make me be seen and to be able to reach more people out

there who need this free podcast of goodness and empowerment and

Unknown:

Unknown:

Alright, I will take really good care of myself now. Please do

Love Aurora
Also..
A little bit about me
Trust me I’m far from feeling, behaving or being perfect.
Perfection is nothing I’m thriving for yet I can say I’m proud of my path/ life journey.

I'm no longer enslaved to my #depression
I'm no longer a #rapevictim
I no longer struggle with #eatingdisorder
I no longer feel the need to hold on to fear, anger and resentment towards men.
I #create podcast episodes and videos several times a week to support and inspire others even on days I feel poorly.
I push through hard times while being gentle on myself.

I'm able to be consistent without feeling drained for the first time in my life because I found something that brings me joy and excitement and stills my hunger to support people out there.

I try my best to understand people’s harsh opinions that are not in alignment with my values .

I learn every day on how to express myself better in a foreign language

I no longer use being bullied back then in school as an excuse in life to not show up for myself or others.

I ask questions, really annoying questions, in order to experience my environment and to find out what is best for me and my people around me ..
Yes, I still feel triggered in many situations.
Yes, I feel depressed and discouraged at times but I embrace it and don’t let it define me anymore.

Doing all this allows me to meet incredible people along the way.

People who:
- inspire me
- encourage me and ignite my deep compassion

I'm grateful for all of you and I’m so happy that I can learn from you and grow together with you .

We are all together in this beautiful mess called life
Thank you for being here

Lots of love and respect

About your host

Profile picture for Aurora Eggert

Aurora Eggert

Hello there,
Born and raised in Germany under the influence of French culture I got a taste of how people perceive life and situations totally differently depending on how and where they grew up. this ignited my deepest curiosity for human behaviour at a very young age.

Being always more of an introvert and observant child I absorbed a lot of stuff that to this day weigh heavy on my soul but on the bright side I can say that these experiences make me relate so much deeper and better to the people around me.

I understand pain. I know suffering. I know how it feels to feel misunderstood.
People say I have a warm, soothing vibe and I enjoyed many years working as a physiotherapist in Germany.

Today I’m more venturing towards bringing healing through podcasting/ Life coaching and yoga. I also encourage people to spend more time out in nature and have a Yurt set up in our forest where I host regular relaxation classes.

I would like to call myself a perception shifter because this is what helped me on my path of (ongoing) healing - I’d love to offer perception shifting thoughts/views in order to make people feel more real and their life easier and their relationships deeper.

I’m also passionate about bringing awareness to locally grown food to people’s table as I’m certain that feeling empowered and real starts with what you nurture your body with and what you absorb with all senses from your environment on a daily basis .

I live in the Rocky Mountains
Raise a couple chickens Free range for eggs and grow a beautiful vegetable garden with my grandmother, fiance and mother in summer.

Podcasting became my passion because I can reach people all over the world- Give hope, make people feel less lonely and self-empowered. Furthermore the interviews with people from around the world expand my horizon and help me heal my soul.
Bonnie my pitbull is always at my side.
connect with me and share your story on my show .

Love ❤️
A.
