Ep. 24 Do we need men in our lives? [society]

Published on: 20th January, 2021

What a question to ask but I’ll do it anyways ..

Do we need men in our lives ?

A question I’m burning to ask women especially the hardworking independent ones Hey there in today’s episode of the Borealis experience I will be talking about my observations and thoughts when it comes to heterosexual relationships. This is where I made my experiences. I feel In same sex relationships there is struggles as well but the mis/communication -understanding between partners is not as severe as in hetero sexual relationships.I will be outing myself as a non-feminist today and that’s okay. I love my brothers. I’m on a journey of trying to understand them and support them and always enjoyed their company and I appreciate and honor my sisters who live at peace with themselves and let life flow and also the ones that still struggle with pain/ rejection and resentment.Enjoy and share your thoughts with meAnd in the future I’ll cover more about this hot topic Woman-single , No men around ? What now ?And Men, is that what you really need, maybe? With warmth Aurora

Unknown:

Hello, and welcome to the Borealis experience. I'm

Unknown:

your host Aurora. And today I want to talk about

Unknown:

men.

Unknown:

Let's just keep it simple. I'm going to talk about men. And why

Unknown:

do we need men,

Unknown:

masculine energy, feminine energy.

Unknown:

roles that we play in our lives, role models that we have and

Unknown:

look up to.

Unknown:

It seems like

Unknown:

that behavior between men and women in heterosexual

Unknown:

relationships has shifted over the last couple of years.

Unknown:

And

Unknown:

not for the better.

Unknown:

I feel that a lot of women feel overwhelmed and frustrated.

Unknown:

And a lot of men feel useless

Unknown:

and lost.

Unknown:

Not all, of course. But what I want to talk about today is the

Unknown:

relationships that keep failing, the conversation that

Unknown:

go into

Unknown:

very aggressive, nasty

Unknown:

directions.

Unknown:

And the only thing I feel I can do about it,

Unknown:

to change it is to talk about what I experienced, what I

Unknown:

observe, and then see and feel of if others can relate or feel.

Unknown:

It's in alignment with their thoughts and values as well.

Unknown:

I feel as a woman nowadays, I want to be in control and

Unknown:

charge, I want to know what's going on at all times.

Unknown:

And it tires me out.

Unknown:

And man,

Unknown:

if you have a true warrior at your side. And it doesn't have

Unknown:

to be a romantic relationship, it can be a friend, for you

Unknown:

allow that masculine energy into your life.

Unknown:

I feel that deep sense of being safe and protected.

Unknown:

And the masculine energy is also very soothing, when we start

Unknown:

listening to it and start

Unknown:

surrender to life and not wanting to control everything at

Unknown:

all times.

Unknown:

What I observed and experienced is that

Unknown:

guys have a very sensitive

Unknown:

and Tanna, let's say for timing.

Unknown:

When it comes to relationships, they know exactly what is good

Unknown:

when,

Unknown:

of course provided that he has gone through his stuff and lives

Unknown:

in the present and not in the past anymore and struggling with

Unknown:

pain and resentment from the past when he's allowed to be his

Unknown:

true self.

Unknown:

And this man is in your presence. Then there's that

Unknown:

feeling of protectiveness and warmth and kindness and wanting

Unknown:

to serve you.

Unknown:

But you also have to allow it. You have to be

Unknown:

still at times and silent and be open to receive it. You have to

Unknown:

do your work before you enter

Unknown:

a relationship

Unknown:

or a friendship with a guy.

Unknown:

And a little disclaimer here I'm only two

Unknown:

Talking about heterosexual relationships.

Unknown:

Because I have no experience with same sex relationships. And

Unknown:

the friends I have, that are in same sex relationships, they

Unknown:

seem to have

Unknown:

different struggles, but not as severe

Unknown:

as struggles and what I can see between men and women, and also

Unknown:

in same sex relationships, you have always one part that has

Unknown:

the masculine role, and the other one, the feminine role,

Unknown:

and doesn't matter with which body parts you have been born.

Unknown:

So just to say that from the beginning here.

Unknown:

So when I talk about masculine and feminine energy, it doesn't

Unknown:

mean that you have a penis or a vagina necessarily. And I just

Unknown:

talk from my experience when I was in heterosexual

Unknown:

relationships.

Unknown:

So when we allow the man to guide us, and to be curious

Unknown:

about what he can show us and open us up to,

Unknown:

then it can

Unknown:

spark energy inside of us that

Unknown:

it's very hard to

Unknown:

reach and experience when you are by yourself.

Unknown:

And for guys, it must be pretty similar to when you have a woman

Unknown:

next to you, who is in tune with her body with herself. Who can

Unknown:

go with her mood swings without beating herself up.

Unknown:

Then she also can open you up to a completely new world.

Unknown:

I have my puppy here in the background. He's nine weeks old.

Unknown:

dozer is his name. And we got him two days ago.

Unknown:

And my 10 year old Pitbull lady that I introduced already, and

Unknown:

she's very nasty with other dogs. And ever since we

Unknown:

introduced this little male puppy into her life, she is

Unknown:

totally relaxed, and doesn't feel the need to be as alert and

Unknown:

controlling as she used to be when she was by herself. And

Unknown:

this is what inspired me to do this episode today because this

Unknown:

little male

Unknown:

guy here, dog, have a post a picture of him too, is bringing

Unknown:

a lot of peace into her life.

Unknown:

And it's beautiful to observe because she's a very jealous

Unknown:

dog. And she's always been in charge of protecting the

Unknown:

chickens here and protecting us people here. And now she has a

Unknown:

companion who can share the load with her. And it's very, very

Unknown:

special to watch. So just a little side note to this

Unknown:

episode. Now. This is also a reason why I sound a little

Unknown:

exhausted today.

Unknown:

Because I didn't get much sleep because their puppy is keeping

Unknown:

me awake at night. And it's a beautiful, beautiful experience.

Unknown:

But just to explain why my voice is a little lower than usual.

Unknown:

So if you take that and what I just offered you

Unknown:

maybe observe your thoughts, your reactions, maybe you

Unknown:

totally disagree with me. Maybe it gets you're really fired up

Unknown:

and you just want to send me a message right away because you

Unknown:

think it's bullshit and we can survive without men and we don't

Unknown:

need man.

Unknown:

Please don't hold back and let's talk about it. Let's have that

Unknown:

conversation because I feel this is exactly the conversation that

Unknown:

is missing out there. We need men. We need masculine energy if

Unknown:

we live in our feminine energy and the masculine energy needs

Unknown:

feminine energy, just as much. And if we can work together, if

Unknown:

we can flow together, this planet can be so beautiful and

Unknown:

peaceful and we can build things and get things done.

Unknown:

But until there's these walls and resentment about the past,

Unknown:

and between us, it will be very hard for both sides.

Unknown:

And I think it's beautiful to see

Unknown:

in the media and, and pretty much everywhere you go that more

Unknown:

and more women

Unknown:

claim powerful positions in society. And a lot of those

Unknown:

women, I look up to, and I'm really proud with.

Unknown:

On the other side, I also see women that still live in

Unknown:

resentment and really bring a very toxic

Unknown:

side

Unknown:

to this table and

Unknown:

want to be in power and want to be in charge and want to be

Unknown:

independent, but not because of the right intentions, but

Unknown:

because of past pain with men, and disappointments and wounds

Unknown:

that not have not healed yet. And those women

Unknown:

seriously harming society, especially if they're raising

Unknown:

young boys and at a young age, trying to suffocate and suppress

Unknown:

their masculine traits that are beautiful when you look at a

Unknown:

little boy. And, again, it can be a little girl that lives more

Unknown:

and her masculine energy, they are energetic, they're curious,

Unknown:

they destroy and build and fight and

Unknown:

want to cuddle and nurses all good.

Unknown:

Except if you are overwhelmed with that intense energy that

Unknown:

enters your life and maybe penetrates your energy,

Unknown:

masculine energy is penetrating. And the feminine energy is kind

Unknown:

of swirling around and embedding

Unknown:

the energy of the masculine. So to all women out there, who feel

Unknown:

that they're still struggling with their past and their

Unknown:

wounds, and that became aware of it, and are working on that. I

Unknown:

can just say, huge respect, because I've been there on that

Unknown:

journey. And it took me quite some time to be at peace with

Unknown:

men again. And for all women out there who enjoy their life and

Unknown:

give themselves pleasure and receive pleasure from from their

Unknown:

partner and can live in tune with nature and don't feel

Unknown:

threatened by

Unknown:

the energetic energy of a man also sharpell. And to all the

Unknown:

men out there, who

Unknown:

went through pain and disappointment, but are still

Unknown:

open to this conversation. I want to say, I want to post so

Unknown:

much more about this topic because I feel this is what we

Unknown:

need to build a stronger society and to feel healthy and good

Unknown:

under our skin.

Unknown:

So you were listening to the Borealis experience today. I

Unknown:

hope my voice was not too tired.

Unknown:

I hope I didn't come across as too esoteric.

Unknown:

If you have questions, shoot me a message. This was not the last

Unknown:

episode about this topic. As you can hear, I'm definitely not a

Unknown:

feminist.

Unknown:

And I will be out there soon again. Take good care of

Unknown:

yourself. Bye bye

Also..
A little bit about me
Trust me I’m far from feeling, behaving or being perfect.
Perfection is nothing I’m thriving for yet I can say I’m proud of my path/ life journey.

I'm no longer enslaved to my #depression
I'm no longer a #rapevictim
I no longer struggle with #eatingdisorder
I no longer feel the need to hold on to fear, anger and resentment towards men.
I #create podcast episodes and videos several times a week to support and inspire others even on days I feel poorly.
I push through hard times while being gentle on myself.

I'm able to be consistent without feeling drained for the first time in my life because I found something that brings me joy and excitement and stills my hunger to support people out there.

I try my best to understand people’s harsh opinions that are not in alignment with my values .

I learn every day on how to express myself better in a foreign language

I no longer use being bullied back then in school as an excuse in life to not show up for myself or others.

I ask questions, really annoying questions, in order to experience my environment and to find out what is best for me and my people around me ..
Yes, I still feel triggered in many situations.
Yes, I feel depressed and discouraged at times but I embrace it and don’t let it define me anymore.

Doing all this allows me to meet incredible people along the way.

People who:
- inspire me
- encourage me and ignite my deep compassion

I'm grateful for all of you and I’m so happy that I can learn from you and grow together with you .

We are all together in this beautiful mess called life
Thank you for being here

Lots of love and respect

Profile picture for Aurora Eggert

Aurora Eggert

Hello there,
Born and raised in Germany under the influence of French culture I got a taste of how people perceive life and situations totally differently depending on how and where they grew up. this ignited my deepest curiosity for human behaviour at a very young age.

Being always more of an introvert and observant child I absorbed a lot of stuff that to this day weigh heavy on my soul but on the bright side I can say that these experiences make me relate so much deeper and better to the people around me.

I understand pain. I know suffering. I know how it feels to feel misunderstood.
People say I have a warm, soothing vibe and I enjoyed many years working as a physiotherapist in Germany.

Today I’m more venturing towards bringing healing through podcasting/ Life coaching and yoga. I also encourage people to spend more time out in nature and have a Yurt set up in our forest where I host regular relaxation classes.

I would like to call myself a perception shifter because this is what helped me on my path of (ongoing) healing - I’d love to offer perception shifting thoughts/views in order to make people feel more real and their life easier and their relationships deeper.

I’m also passionate about bringing awareness to locally grown food to people’s table as I’m certain that feeling empowered and real starts with what you nurture your body with and what you absorb with all senses from your environment on a daily basis .

I live in the Rocky Mountains
Raise a couple chickens Free range for eggs and grow a beautiful vegetable garden with my grandmother, fiance and mother in summer.

Podcasting became my passion because I can reach people all over the world- Give hope, make people feel less lonely and self-empowered. Furthermore the interviews with people from around the world expand my horizon and help me heal my soul.
Bonnie my pitbull is always at my side.
connect with me and share your story on my show .

Love ❤️
A.
