Hello, and welcome to the Borealis experience. I'm

Unknown:

your host Aurora. And if you want to find a place where you

Unknown:

can rest and relax, unwind from a busy day, and recharge your

Unknown:

batteries, this is the perfect place for you. Today I want to

Unknown:

talk about attractiveness. The other day I started a poll on

Unknown:

Facebook, where I asked you guys how attractive you feel. And I

Unknown:

was shocked.

Unknown:

Only 60% of

Unknown:

the people who replied feel attractive and 40% feel

Unknown:

unattractive, even ugly. And then I look at the pictures, and

Unknown:

I can't see anything wrong. And I know most of the people who

Unknown:

said they feel unattractive. So I feel a deep urge now today to

Unknown:

post an episode for you guys for when you feel unattractive.

Unknown:

Please, if you are not connected with me on Facebook, add me My

Unknown:

name is Aurora Eggert or join the Facebook group. That's a

Unknown:

good idea to warriors among us. And there you can request

Unknown:

episodes from me like my friends to already and I can Yeah, fine

Unknown:

tune the episodes for your needs a little better. So let's talk

Unknown:

about attractiveness. What is attractiveness? I think

Unknown:

attractiveness is so subjective. And sometimes we get too caught

Unknown:

up in ideals In comparison, we compare ourselves to people and

Unknown:

only see the very best part of them, and don't really see their

Unknown:

flaws, right, we put others on a pedestal and make ourselves

Unknown:

small. And that is very, very wrong to do because in doing so,

Unknown:

your self esteem just gets smaller and smaller and you feel

Unknown:

the need to hide more and more. And less and less people will

Unknown:

know about you and know that you're out there and available

Unknown:

and lovable. So this episode is so dear to my heart, because for

Unknown:

the longest time, I felt very unattractive and not lovable at

Unknown:

all. And I will share with you some hacks. And hopefully, right

Unknown:

after this episode, you can feel empowered again and good about

Unknown:

yourself. So just know that this episode is more for guys and for

Unknown:

girls. So let's start. Just know that girls don't judge guys by

Unknown:

the same measures, then guys, Judge girls, so a woman wants to

Unknown:

feel safe, and wants to feel attractive. A woman wants to

Unknown:

feel that you're interested in her. Most of all, of course,

Unknown:

physical attractiveness is always important. But know that

Unknown:

to make a woman feel safe. If you have a couple extra pounds,

Unknown:

it just makes you feel even or makes you look even more like

Unknown:

someone who can protect you. And if it's too many pounds, if you

Unknown:

think you're really overweight, then there's people out there

Unknown:

too, who are attracted to that, I feel that for everything. For

Unknown:

every person, there is a counterpart. And you have to be

Unknown:

okay with what you have, and even proud with what you have,

Unknown:

and not be scared that he will be rejected with what you got to

Unknown:

offer. Because on a very deep level people choose their

Unknown:

partners by scent, the scent of your body and by how you make

Unknown:

them feel. And if you feel that you are a little overweight or

Unknown:

too skinny, then that is one thing but the other big thing is

Unknown:

how do you make that person feel when you are in her presence, or

Unknown:

his presence. Of course we're not talking just straight people

Unknown:

here. So a woman will have a look at your eyes at your face

Unknown:

at your hands, your four arms. And I'm pretty sure tonight if

Unknown:

you look into the mirror, you can find at least one or two

Unknown:

things that are super attractive and that no other human being

Unknown:

has on that planet Earth. So you cannot To judge yourself only by

Unknown:

your physical appearance, and just know that other people will

Unknown:

judge you by totally different measures. So why not, start

Unknown:

accepting yourself and be good with yourself, and drop all that

Unknown:

bullshit. And waste that time that precious time and accept

Unknown:

yourself right now where you're at. When it comes to body

Unknown:

weight, I learned a very, very important thing.

Unknown:

Namely, that your body is a perfect mirror of how you feel

Unknown:

inside. So how he looked from the outside is a perfect

Unknown:

reflection of how you feel inside. And when it comes to

Unknown:

weight gain when it comes to obesity. Your body is trying to

Unknown:

protect you from something. And can you go back to that point in

Unknown:

your life where you felt threatened where you felt

Unknown:

scared, where you felt you needed an extra layer of

Unknown:

protection? Can you go back to that point? Or is it too far

Unknown:

back. And then another thing is, how were you conditioned when it

Unknown:

comes to food. One big exam example is you had your mother,

Unknown:

closest friend, really good relationship, and your dad was

Unknown:

maybe more away and working hard and not really present in your

Unknown:

life. And every time you had a night off time with your mom,

Unknown:

you guys decided to watch a movie and open a can of pub and

Unknown:

eat chips and gummy bears. And you do that every time you

Unknown:

connect with your mom on a deeper level. And when you feel

Unknown:

deep comfort. So now that you moved out and live by yourself,

Unknown:

of course, every time you feel stressed out or you need

Unknown:

comfort, your brain, your emotional body, your your

Unknown:

internal compass, let's say will drive you to the fridge and let

Unknown:

you grab that pop, and that chips and the gummy bears. And

Unknown:

you want to watch a movie because on a very deep level, it

Unknown:

reminds you of those comforting memories with your mother back

Unknown:

then. And this is just one example you might have been

Unknown:

conditioned very differently when it comes to food. But it

Unknown:

doesn't matter, it's still highly influences your

Unknown:

relationship to food nowadays. So if you feel you need to lose

Unknown:

weight if you feel ugly, because you have too much weight on one

Unknown:

thing first, know that there's people out there who are highly

Unknown:

attracted to more heavier guys, because you guys look like he

Unknown:

can protect us better. And if you are too skinny, if you feel

Unknown:

uncomfortable on your skin, know that there is a girl or a guy

Unknown:

out there who's super attracted to your body and wants to

Unknown:

connect with you. And he or she doesn't judge you by the

Unknown:

measures, you judge yourself. And when it comes to weight

Unknown:

gain, there's also maybe something that happened in your

Unknown:

childhood, where now if your constant fear and your thyroid

Unknown:

and your metabolism is running at a weight too fast of a pace

Unknown:

to burn all your calories at once when you eat, right,

Unknown:

there's people who can eat and eat and eat and they just don't

Unknown:

gain weight. They usually have something that is stressing them

Unknown:

out on their hardware. Yeah, not on the superficial level. But on

Unknown:

a very deep level, they might have experienced something that

Unknown:

stresses them out to this day. And that influences their body

Unknown:

to this day. And that's why they can gain weight. And if there's

Unknown:

nothing that ever bugged you, and if your body is just a more

Unknown:

skinnier type, then again, please know that there is

Unknown:

someone out there who will be deeply attracted to your

Unknown:

beautiful eyes, your sensitive hands, the tone of your voice,

Unknown:

your scent. There's so much more than just the image in the

Unknown:

mirror that you see every morning. And with my podcast

Unknown:

here I also want to start and change your relationship to

Unknown:

yourself because I feel a lot of people out there has such an

Unknown:

harsh opinion about their physical appearance, and about

Unknown:

how they feel about themselves or overhaul. And with this

Unknown:

podcast, I want to make you aware of those thought loops

Unknown:

that you engage in on a daily that don't serve you anymore.

Unknown:

That just make you feel small and shitty about yourself. And

Unknown:

don't make you want to go out there and get

Unknown:

that girl. Get that date. Get that job. Get that awesome

Unknown:

adventure that you deserve. All right. That was it for today.

Unknown:

Thank you so much for listening to the Borealis experience. I'm

Unknown:

your host Aurora and I care deeply about how you feel and

Unknown:

how you are. I hope I can bring you peace into your life. I hope

Unknown:

you can feel better about yourself after this episode.

Also..
A little bit about me
Trust me I’m far from feeling, behaving or being perfect.
Perfection is nothing I’m thriving for yet I can say I’m proud of my path/ life journey.

I'm no longer enslaved to my #depression
I'm no longer a #rapevictim
I no longer struggle with #eatingdisorder
I no longer feel the need to hold on to fear, anger and resentment towards men.
I #create podcast episodes and videos several times a week to support and inspire others even on days I feel poorly.
I push through hard times while being gentle on myself.

I'm able to be consistent without feeling drained for the first time in my life because I found something that brings me joy and excitement and stills my hunger to support people out there.

I try my best to understand people’s harsh opinions that are not in alignment with my values .

I learn every day on how to express myself better in a foreign language

I no longer use being bullied back then in school as an excuse in life to not show up for myself or others.

I ask questions, really annoying questions, in order to experience my environment and to find out what is best for me and my people around me ..
Yes, I still feel triggered in many situations.
Yes, I feel depressed and discouraged at times but I embrace it and don’t let it define me anymore.

Doing all this allows me to meet incredible people along the way.

People who:
- inspire me
- encourage me and ignite my deep compassion

I'm grateful for all of you and I’m so happy that I can learn from you and grow together with you .

We are all together in this beautiful mess called life
Thank you for being here

Lots of love and respect

About your host

Profile picture for Aurora Eggert

Aurora Eggert

Hello there,
Born and raised in Germany under the influence of French culture I got a taste of how people perceive life and situations totally differently depending on how and where they grew up. this ignited my deepest curiosity for human behaviour at a very young age.

Being always more of an introvert and observant child I absorbed a lot of stuff that to this day weigh heavy on my soul but on the bright side I can say that these experiences make me relate so much deeper and better to the people around me.

I understand pain. I know suffering. I know how it feels to feel misunderstood.
People say I have a warm, soothing vibe and I enjoyed many years working as a physiotherapist in Germany.

Today I’m more venturing towards bringing healing through podcasting/ Life coaching and yoga. I also encourage people to spend more time out in nature and have a Yurt set up in our forest where I host regular relaxation classes.

I would like to call myself a perception shifter because this is what helped me on my path of (ongoing) healing - I’d love to offer perception shifting thoughts/views in order to make people feel more real and their life easier and their relationships deeper.

I’m also passionate about bringing awareness to locally grown food to people’s table as I’m certain that feeling empowered and real starts with what you nurture your body with and what you absorb with all senses from your environment on a daily basis .

I live in the Rocky Mountains
Raise a couple chickens Free range for eggs and grow a beautiful vegetable garden with my grandmother, fiance and mother in summer.

Podcasting became my passion because I can reach people all over the world- Give hope, make people feel less lonely and self-empowered. Furthermore the interviews with people from around the world expand my horizon and help me heal my soul.
Bonnie my pitbull is always at my side.
connect with me and share your story on my show .

Love ❤️
A.
